On 30th of June, the commencement ceremony of China's aid to Belarus international standard natatorium project and national football stadium project was held in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Nikolay, the first vice premier of Belarus, and Qiming Cui, Chinese ambassador to Belarus, jointly cut the ribbon for the start of the project. As the construction party of the natatorium project, BCEG attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, Nikolay said Belarus and China have profound friendship, which is a model of cooperation at the highest level. Facing the challenge brought by the new coronavirus, the two countries have shown the spirit of unity to overcome difficulties. The heads of the two countries personally participated in the two projects, reflecting the friendship between the two countries and the people of the two countries. They will show Belarus and all neighboring countries China's engineering technology and economic strength, which greatly promote the national unity and development of the two countries.
Qiming Cui said facing the COVID-19, two countries working together and helping each other fully show the deep friendship between the two countries. China's president Xi Jinping and Belarus’s President Lukashenka have personally identified the two projects and are concerned about them. The two projects are also China's largest social public welfare projects in Belarus. It is hoped that the Chinese EPC enterprises will resolutely implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, ensuring to deliver a high level and high quality project and creating a new landmark of friendship between China and Belarus.
The Belarus international standard swimming pool is the Belt and Road cooperation project, and also the first project of BCEG in Belarus. The project is located in Minsk, the capital of Belarus, with a construction land area of 5.75 hectares and a total construction area of 40000 square meters. After completion, it will be used to host various competitions for FINA and UEFA, and further improve the construction of local sport facilities to help the development of sports in Belarus. BCEG will hold the spirit of craftsman and take advantage of whole industry chain and try to overcome the challenges brought by the coronavirus to promote the construction of the project and deliver high quality project of the Belt and Road.
It is reported that the three members of the advance team arrived Minsk on 25th of June, and immediately started to carry out relevant works and prepared the issues for the commencement ceremony. In the future, more members will be sent to Belarus to carry out localized resource investigation, material delivery, and construction design.
