On 15th of September, Gibraltar BCEG International Co., Ltd. (referred to as the joint venture) officially signed a contract for the elderly apartment project in Gibraltar. The signing ceremony was in the form of video connection.
The signing ceremony was attended by Sir Joe Bassano, former chief minister and current minister of economic development of Gibraltar, Mr. James levy, head of Hassan international law firm, relevant leaders of Beijing International Engineering Co., Ltd., head of Gibraltarian subsidiary, director of joint venture company.
The building system combining prefabricated modularization with traditional cast-in-place construction will be adopted for the elderly apartment project in Gibraltar. The total construction area of the project is about 10000 square meters. The project includes a new 11-storey apartment building for the elderly, as well as supporting facilities such as parking lot, dining room and nurse station. After the completion, 171 single and double rooms and 182 nursing beds will be provided in the apartment building to effectively improve the elderly care environment of local residents.
Relevant personnel from Gibraltar said BCEG has strength in international engineering contracting enterprise. Through the establishment of a joint venture, the two sides have established a stable cooperative relationship. They hope the Chinese side can give further support in project management and construction technology, and complete the construction task of senior apartment project with high quality. And through the continuous efforts of the shareholders of both sides, both sides should strengthen comprehensive cooperation and create a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win situation.
The joint venture was established in September 2017 by BCEG and Gibraltar government, with 50% of the shareholders of both parties. The old apartment project marks the preliminary achievements of BCEG in the market of the region. At present, the project has been granted the full planning permission and resources both from domestic and abroad are entering the site in an orderly manner.
